Miaou Inc. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects the privacy of users of the MiaTango app (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Device information: OS type and version, device identifiers (such as advertising IDs), and device language settings.
• Usage information: in-app actions (e.g., quiz start/finish, settings changes) and app usage data (including crash logs).
• Advertising data: advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob) may use advertising identifiers and tracking information for ad delivery and measurement.
• AI input text: when you use AI features (for correction, generation, or review), text you enter may be sent to our servers and forwarded to AI service providers.

• AI-generated content notice: AI-generated prompts and sample answers may contain errors. Please verify the accuracy of AI-generated content yourself when using it for learning.
• Purchase/subscription information: to verify in-app purchases and subscriptions we may send purchase receipts/tokens, transaction IDs, and purchase timestamps to our servers for validation. We do not collect or store credit card details; payment processing is handled by Apple/Google.
• Text-to-Speech (TTS): TTS is generated on the device and, in normal operation, text is not sent to external servers for TTS generation.
• Local data: word lists (word, translation, group name, day, etc.) and learning results (correct/incorrect counts) are stored in a local SQLite database on the device.
• App-generated identifiers: we may store identifiers in the app for usage tracking, quota management, or abuse prevention.

1. Purpose of Use

We use collected data for the following purposes:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• Perform analytics to improve user experience.
• Configure and optimize advertising delivery.
• Respond to user inquiries and support requests.
• Comply with legal obligations.

1. Third-Party Sharing and Advertising

We use third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdMob) to serve ads. These third parties may collect or process advertising identifiers or other information for ad delivery and measurement. Users may control tracking via iOS AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) consent.

We may use third-party services for the following purposes:

• AI features (correction and generation): user text may be processed via our servers and sent to AI service providers.
• Purchase verification: we use platform mechanisms (Apple/Google) to verify purchase receipts and subscription status.

1. Data Retention and Deletion

• Word data and learning results are primarily stored on the user’s device. Uninstalling the App will generally remove these data.
• If you wish to delete your data, use the in-app “Clear Word Data” function.
• Identifiers stored for AI feature usage or abuse prevention are also typically removed when the app is uninstalled.

1. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no internet transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

1. Minors

If a minor uses the App, parental consent should be obtained. Handling of personal information of minors requires parental approval as applicable.
